Renovation Homes
Recently I’ve had several clients/investors looking for rehab homes. It has been astounding how many investors are looking for the same! We have witnessed over 10 offers on properties that are going well over $100k to get the homes. They want bigger lot sizes and most are putting DADU’s (detached additional dwelling units) in the backyard. Investors don’t buy when the market is high, they buy when they feel there is an upside to their investment.
This is indicative of a constant shifting market. Will prices go back up in 6 months to a year? Forecasters are saying yes.
If you are selling, the opportunity to get multiple offers,
if priced right is very high.
If you are on the fence about buying, it may cost a lot more in
the next year or more.
Think like an investor, who is paying well over list price to
get a ‘good bones’ home.
